Dubrovnik- Port Information
Arriving and Getting Around-
The port is about a 45 minute-1 hour walk from the old city center of Dubrovnik. It is possible, but is easier to walk back from town than to find your way there. It is not clearly marked along the way, but is a beautiful walk. We bought a map in Dubrovnik and were able to walk back just fine.
Shuttles are available for $10 each. They park right next to the gangway and leave when they are full. They drop you next to the gate.
You can also walk out of the cruise port, then buy a local bus ticket and take a local bus to town for around 1 euro each way. (This is what I will do next time)
For our opinions of Dubrovnik, read our Dubrovnik Port Review Page.
What to Do/ Attactions
City Walls- Cost 70 kuna. Open 8-7. They only accept kuna, so be sure to get some out at the ATM right outside the gate. Beautiful views, but not for those who have mobility challenges. The stairs are extremely steep and there are quite a few of them. Absolutely stunning and wonderful experience. There are a couple bathroom stops along the wall and cafes.
Dubrovnik Cable Car- Cost 80 kuna (round-trip). Opens at 9. Closing time depends on month. Consult website. Restaurant at top with panoramic views. On a clear day, you can see up to 40 miles.
