Okay, so I know I promised no superfluous posts, but in response to a comment/question I will give a little preface of our Barcelona plans. We fly out on Monday morning and arrive Tuesday morning at 8:30 in Barcelona. We will take the Renfe train to Placa de Catalunya near our hotel, Hotel Regina and drop off our luggage. (Not going to sleep even if the room is ready!) We will tour Barcelona hitting, in no particular order: Ramblas, La Boqueria, Barri Gothic, Cathedral, Santa Maria del Mar, Sagrada Familia and churros with chocolate.
The next morning we will walk down the Ramblas to the terminal assuming no bad weather, We are only packing backpacks, so this shouldn't be a big deal. After boarding, we might leave the ship to tour the Maritime Museum (or we might do that before we board) depending on how we feel. Ah, the best laid plans...
